Group interviews

I am going for a group interview on Thursday and I don't know what to expect it is only for a retail position but in the past I have held management positions and I have my Bachelor of Science in Merchandising and Buying, I know this position is below what I am trained for but have been out of this field for 10 years, any suggestions?

I am sure if your interviewers have read your resume and you've included your degree they are aware of the value you are capable to bring to the table. Be yourself and let your education and experience shine. Your experience may be ten years old but I'm sure you've noticed trends that work usually come back around and become classics. Best of luck to you.

Whatever you do, don't allow fear to torment you. Prepare for the interview. I would google typical interview questions. Research the company and how you would answer those questions if asked. You have your degree, so be confident in the abilities God has given you and speak with confidence, but don't be cocky! I've learned to not become a nervous wreck during interviews. God already has a perfect plan for our lives and if this job isn't what He has planned for you, He will bless you with something better!

That's so awesome, Jacqueline! First, don't stress yourself out - a group interview is usually a good thing, as it shows you're a serious candidate for the job. Remember to walk in there with confidence. First things first, introduce yourself to everyone on the panel. Be conscious about making eye contact with everyone, especially the person talking to you. It's more about showing that you're not intimidated by interviewing with multiple people. Don't emphasize that you've been out of the field; instead, focus on how you're continually learning and adaptable and excited for new opportunities. Let me know how it goes afterwards!
