Hiring Now! Desperate for holiday help, retailers give away bonuses, trips, gifts cards and $$$

To attract workers:

Companies Like Target, JCPenny, Kohls, Target, UPS and Federal Express are hiring now!

Retailers, e-commerce and logistics companies are looking to hire over 700,000 holiday workers this year. They are sweetening the pot with cash bonuses and gift cards, as well as chances to win kayaks and diamond earrings.

Target: In addition to what it calls "competitive" wages starting at $12 an hour, Target is holding $500 gift card drawings for employees and will match up to $500 in donations for a local charity throughout the holiday season.

J.C. Penney is offering its holiday workers a 25 percent discount as well as the chance to win one of eight "reward packages" worth up to $5,000 each. Winners can choose from all-expense-paid vacations to Banff, Alberta; New York or Miami.

Kohls is offering its seasonal employees a 35 percent discount on certain days, but it's promoting it as a perk this year. Kohl's seasonal employees will also be eligible for gift card contests for perfect attendance.

Macy's offering new bonus program.

UPS: Seasonal jobs at UPS can pay $10.35 to $30 an hour, but its best perk for seasonal employees beyond pay is its track record for converting seasonal positions into year-round employment, UPS spokesman Glenn Zaccara told CNBC. About 35 percent of its seasonal workforce is converted to a permanent employee, he said. "In fact, 128,000 UPSers, nearly one-third of our U.S. workforce, started working for the company in a seasonal role — including our chairman and CEO, David Abney."

Customer Service at Healthcare

Hi, Ms. Regina, I just want to encourage you to not allow your past or people "the world" to cause you to give up, from your post, you've done well for yourself and I'm happy for you and your accomplishments, that's encouraging and motivating for someone else to be able to know and understand that change is possible. Step back and look at how far you've come and give all the Thanks To GOD because it's all because of HIM that you were able to change your life and move forward to better yourself, GOD WILL open doors for you that no one can close, HE IS MORE THAN ABLE TO put you in a position no matter what your past looks like, GOD IS MERCIFUL AND FORGIVING AND HE GIVES us 2nd and 3rd and 4th and 5th chances and more, HIS MERCY ENDURE FOREVER, HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT. Don't be discouraged about those jobs, don't allow those jobs or others view of you to discourage you or dictate who you are. You are who GOD SAYS you are, and you can do all things through HIM because HE GIVES you the strength to do so. GOD WILL open doors for you, just talk to HIM about all your concerns and no one else because only HE CAN FIX your situation, no one else can. PRAY about it, give all your cares to HIM AND have FAITH IN HIM TO PROVIDE for you and your family, TRUST HIM and watch HIM work in your life continuously. Look at your life now and how far you've come, GOD has BLESSED you and HE WILL continue to, just HAVE FAITH IN HIM AND TRUST HIM. BE STILL AND KNOW GOD, (PSALM 46:10), HE IS THE GREAT I AM, there's nothing too hard for HIM ( Jeremiah 32:27). GOD IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US. It is GOD'S WILL for us to be able to provide for ourselves and our families. PRAY and ask according to HIS WILL, 1John 5:14-15. Regina, don't give up, have FAITH IN GOD, no matter what! TO GOD BE ALL THE PRAISE, ALL THE HONOR, ALL THE GLORY, HE IS WORTHY OF IT ALL, IT ALL BELONGS TO HIM. PRAISE HIM FOR WHO HE IS, THANK HIM FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, THANK HIM FOR HIS WILL FOR YOUR LIFE, THANK HIM FOR MEETING ALL YOUR NEEDS. You have a Blessed Day!

I got in trouble 18 years ago. Since, I got married, got a home, had kids, went back to school and haven’t even received as much as a parking ticket. TARGET, WALMART and most other places won’t give me the time of day so they don’t get my business anymore and I certainly won’t tell others to apply there

Ground Handler at Fedex

Employers who are generally rated very low in popularity sentiments, are very generous this season. They are unintentionally improving their image in the community, as they attract more staff in a drive to increase their own profitability. However, this augurs well for their reputation as they put more money in employees’ pockets. Capable folk should take full advantage of the proffered opportunities, earning fortunes for the season. Kudos to those employers who participate in that grand giveaway.Let us go for this boon.
