Well I quit my job after 2 days the job title was very misleading. All lies from this company. I have a bachelors degree in Social Work with my limited license. So I met the qualifications that were inquired according to their job posting.Had 3 interviews and was offered the position. The job posted stated that I would be doing patient documents and group therapy and get patients ready to re-enter back in the community. Sounds like Social Work to me. However the first day of training was just a lot paper work. Second day they tell me that I would be doing the same as the "cena" would be and get the same pay and my title is now mental health associate. I mad beyond the max now so I set up a meeting with the hiring manager, Human Resources and the Director and I express that this not what I signed up for and I don't go to school four years to do "cena" work and I drive 40 minutes each way for this madness and lies. So the hiring tell me that she is sorry than pulls my resume and say o yes I see that you have a degree in Social Work I'm going to send your resume over to the Social Work department. I told Thanks but No Thanks. Red flag it is illegal for someone with a bachelors degree to run group therapy in a hospital setting. What a nightmare so now I'm back to job searching. These poorly uneducated companies need to stop trying to get over on people and be honest. There were 3 other people with their BSW as well be would not say a word. How can we advocate for others as a Social Work but can't advocate for self.
