Grateful for this Job

So two months ago, I had been looking everywhere for a job after being laid off from a work at home position that ended. It was hard finding a job. Especially one that I enjoyed. Before all of this I was unemployed for about four years. just imagine the load on my shoulders. Well Aug. 7, 2017 I started working for Randstad Staffing for Allied Air a plant that assembles air conditioner and heating units for homes and businesses. I've been there for two months now and even though they work us seven days a week (at least the department that i am in anyway), I still enjoy the job because its easy work and I love making and having my own money. The only thing that I can say is anyone that is applying to plant jobs through a staffing agency just be ready to not get all the details about the job. With Allied Air the staffing agency did not know what department i would be in nor the exact hours i would work for sure. I did not find out any of this information until i got to the actual plant and the department supervisor then informed me of my working hours. Don't get me wrong i knew i was on 2nd shift but it varied the hours. The reason i say all of this is because since I've been working they have changed the time we get off which resulted in us loosing four people who was there months before i was. And the new people that have been hired in the last month have ALL quit because it wasn't what they expected and they just couldn't deal with working seven days a week. Many of them were young and I even heard one of them say that they didn't really need the job. Okay so why apply when its people out here who want a job. Like i stated the work is easy but if you cannot deal with the hours or stand for a long period of time then this company is not for you.

Christina, I'm glad you are working. Many people won't work seven days a week, and they want set hours. Are you getting paid overtime? Many people don't want to work seven days a week if they are not getting overtime. People do need to work, but seven days a week on second shift is a huge commitment. Good Luck...

Temp Agencies get different type of resource orders and the job descriptions get very vague depending on the industry and number of employees needed for the assignment. Client employers turn to agencies when they need bodies to do to fill in for work they hire regular employees for. That means that as a contractor on one of these temp assignment you have to flexible and open to do anything. Now, for some one who's been out of work and truly desperately seeking "a job" then this is a perfect means to an end. Not a good job suggestion for those professional job surfers though. Listen, keep up the good work and make your money. Working 7 days is tough but it beats being unemployed.
