Bologna Sandwiches Getting Old
I have been trying to find work in Sugar Land TX as a buyer. I was laid off from a good job and now very discouraged. I have applied to so many jobs and do not get call backs and if I do the commute is ridiculously far. Does anyone know of ANY office job in Fort Bend County? I'm getting desperate. Actually I already am desperate. I'm praying for something to happen soon.

Well work Texas job force and may have relocate to bigger city .

Go Texas workforce and start working with them.Macy's Niemans Dillard's . But you may have relocate to bigger city.

No matter how tired you get...keep pushing ahead. I cleaned up my monster...careerbuilder...indeed...........linkedin...rigzone...and let her rip...got a job on the first interview in less than 2 weeks...went in dressed to kill and took no prisoners! Forge ahead my queen.

I've never worked in Texas but I do live in Colorado and the market is her is hot as I'm in IT and I get tons of job offers. You can get a job then looker for a buyer job while you're working if that's your cup of tea.

Michele, Sometimes it is not necessarily you and your background. Oftentimes it can be how your resume is written and the content therein. Unfortunately resumes are passed through computer scanning programs and are weeded out just by the absence of certain key words or phrases. I am a part of a group called Texas HR Pros in Transition. The leader has been an HR professional for over 20 years and the group has assisted in finding dozens of people work. This year alone our group has "landed" over 600 people in new jobs (in a BAD oil and gas economic environment). You can come and join us any Wednesday evening at 6:30PM at the Gate near Memorial Dr. United Methodist Church.

Hi Michele, Boy, do I empathize with your situation. I have been job-hunting for months now with no luck. I have seen jobs I applied for since May still being advertised... I also have received only ONE callback and interview out of the dozens and dozens of applications I have sent out. But, chin up! Something good will happen for you soon!

Hi Michele, I understand your commuting concerns but maybe you'll be willing commute into Houston this Thursday (8/04) to attend this Job Fair that's being sponsored by Choice Career Fairs at the Crowne Plaza Houston - River Oaks . This link has more event details including a brief list with some of the companies and recruiting positions (http://www.eventbrite.com/e/houston-career-fair-august-4-2016-tickets-18962761129?aff=es2). There's also a contact and registration link you have any other other questions. I found this online today and decided to share. Regards.

Ms. Spencer don't be or get desperate. Try something similar or close like Apartment Manager. How about Retirement Home Villa's manager in your area. No need to get desperate accept a change for the moment. You could be a very good medical office manager. But you don't know if you get desperate. Look up then out.
