He was panicking!!
I had an older gentleman on my Delta flight last week that was really, really, really nervous about flying. During my years as a flight attendant, I have seen that a lot but this poor guy was freaked out. The seat next to him was empty so I asked if he wanted someone to sit with him and he said I could. We talked it out, he got a drink and before we knew it we were landing. It felt good to help him out.

That is very kind of you. Most people go a life time not doing generous stuff like this. High five to you.

There are not enough praises on earth for you Vance! You did that man a solid. I hope the drinks and conversation were worthwhile and meaningful during the flight. Thank you for your kindness.

Kindness is what he needed and you showed him that great job

Aww that was so nice of u....I love elderly people...U can learn so much as they share all their wisdom....I would have done the same thing...

That is so kind of you Vance Holm ! That is a job well done as a flight attendant

Very.cool.

Vance, God Bless you for helping and showing him he's got this lol. It's people like that continue to make the world a better place!

That was a very kind and selfless act you did! Kudos to you!!! I used to fly alone as a small child, parents would dump me off at the gate and a stewardess would stay with me the whole time. I spent every summer vacation once school was out with my grandparents in Kentucky (I’m from Michigan) because of that trauma being left all alone with strangers created a huge fear for me as an adult. One day 4 years ago I got a call from my step dad telling me to hurry to Arkansas because my mom was soon dying. I expressed my fears to my family doctor who gave me Xanax to be able to fly for the first time as an adult. Thankfully he gave it to me because it made me unaware of one of my biggest fears (the other is spiders) on my flight home I thought “ hey it wasn’t so bad afterall” well as everyone was being seated I started having anxiety so bad that I broke out in a sweat and knew that I needed to take a Xanax because I still wasn’t ok to fly without it. Thankfully they overbooked the flight and had to remove some passengers. I was able to flag a stewardess down for my pop so I could take a Xanax. I’ve since flown 8 other times but only because I took Xanax before boarding the plane. I wish someone would have come to my rescue as you did as it probably would have made flying easier. Thank you for being there for that man and putting his mind at ease!!! God will reward you for that kind gesture!!!

It takes a truly compassionate person to see this man was terrified and to do something about it! We need more people like you in this world! God bless!
You have a beautiful spirit habe a great evening
