Unemployment

I graduated from the department of Linguistics last year. In Nigeria, it's compulsory to serve your country after your education except you are thirty years and above. After my service, I applied for jobs to no avail. The government promised to provide jobs.. Nothing! I applied for jobs in Canada, Dubai, to no avail. I need to take care of my aged parents and siblings.. Just need to get a job anywhere! Once I get the job, migrating won't be a problem. People who promised me jobs failed to do so. I don't even know what to do right now... I keep saying to my-self, it's going to be well! I pray something good happens!

Hi Anuoluwapo,

Have you tried teaching ESL anywhere? I know Saudi, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, and a lot of other places in the middle east as well as Asia are looking for ESL instructors. I do know in Egypt they are looking for Linguistics instructors. You may want to search for linguistic instructors in these places as well, I believe Saudi needs Linguistic instructors as well. You may want to try ESL job websites. I hope for you to have great success in your search!

Best Regards,

Hi Anuoluwapo, Thank you for contacting Jobcase. At this time Jobcase only offers our members the opportunity to search and apply for jobs within the United States. Unfortunately Jobcase does not offer visa sponsorship.

In the meantime I recommend taking a look at https://ngcareers.com/jobs to search for jobs in your area. Good luck!
