Drug tests
Their needs to be a new procedure/policy for employers that require drug testing. I mean come on, I'm job hunting and have had to take 4 drug tests for potential employment in a months time. Really? Cant I show proof of passing a most recent one and it be valid for sometime. Driving around to all these testing facilities when you have no income is counter productive and redundant,.

Well first of all you only have to take a drug test if you are hired on, obviously you are failling your drug test if you have had to take that many in that short of a time
i guess you failed the last 3 drug tests if you go on an interview and they send you for a drug test that means as long as you pass the drug test you have a job. maybe i am wrong

I agree. It is too much to keep repeating them. They should be good for a month at least.
I totally agree with you! I spent 2 days taking my daughter in law to get tested for a hotel clerk job the first bottle she used was defective and the temperature wouldn't register so we waited for an hour and went back and they said oh that's not enough when it was, so we went back today and the same nurse was in a good mood and she passed her screen. But I work full time and rarely get 2 days off together and wasted them sitting and waiting for the screening. Wow! There's got to be a better way to get a job
Agree. I had to do a drug test for a potential internship that would have cost me over $100 and not reimbursable.
I got a call about a job through a temp agency. I interviewed for the job, passed the interview, did the background check & drug screen, passed those, filled out all the paperwork & even signed a letter saying I would take the job & then I get a call from the agency saying the company put the job on hold. I'm like, WTF?! Why on earth would a company go through all that just to put the job on hold. I decided I don't want to work for a company like that because guess what, I've been contacted by different temp agencies for the SAME JOB. Thanks, but no thanks. I also think it's stupid you have to go through an interview & send in a resume for a TEMP job. It could be for a week, 6 months, a year & still you have to jump through all these hoops. You go to the agency, meet & talk with them & then they should decide if you're right for the job. That's how it used to be anyway.
