Hi William,

When they ask you about the DWI, what are you saying? Where you driving while intoxicated while you were on or off the job? Did you get into an accident? Are you accepting responsibility for your actions and explaining this when asked. You have to understand that any company that hires you, will be taking a big risk and chances are they do not want to expose themselves in this way. It could jeopardize their business. The big question is will you drive while intoxicated when you are on the job? Will you do it when you are not working? If anyone hired you, and you got a DWI and it is against company policy, if you are hired as a driver, with a DWI you can no longer work as a driver for them. Your responsibility is to convince the employer while 3 years ago, you made a mistake you will not do it again. If you own a vehicle and tried to get insurance, because of the DWI your insurance will spike up, so will the companies insurance and they cannot charge you the difference if they hire you.

In the meantime, I would suggest you seek other employment until you can get a job as a driver again.
