ASP Classic
Does anyone still use it? I have been a classic ASP developer since 2000, almost 18 years! I recently retired but would like to do some projects remotely. I also have programmed in C# and developed in that language as well as ASP and jQuery web services. I have experience implementing Amazon Pay, Visa Checkout and MasterPass for an eCommerce company that I worked for the last five years. I have integrated with houzz.com, DOBA and other web services for the eCommerce platform. Questions?

Hi Fab,
It sounds like you a have a ton of great experience. From what I've gathered at my experience at web development agency, ASP is a great bonus to have knowledge in but it isn't as widely used as before. You'll probably find more people looking mainly for experience in C#, Javascript Frameworks, and .NET - but that doesn't mean you can't find something.
Are you looking for more of a full-time gig or part-time? From your wanting to work remotely, it sounds like more of a part-time gig? I would consider trying to make it a consulting company, as many agencies aren't looking for a full time employee but desperately need someone with your experience - especially in implementing eCommerce solutions.
I was going to mention ASP.NET, but you've worked with C#, so perhaps you know MVC as well. It seems you know some of what I know. Like Matt, I also suggest some type of Consultancy, or Small Business Website building. eCommerce is one route, but I decided to pursue Artificial Intelligence in the form of Chatbots for Customer Support. It's best you do at least one thing that most people are not able to do.
