I still cant qualified for a apartment my credit is fair. But i still a cosigner???? I dont understand why rent is so high and childcare expenses are ridiculous. What should I do?

If you lived in il I have a1 bedroom for 400.00 a month it's a trailer I tried to get roommates in the past that were scammers.hope things get better soon

Like the others prior you can check these places out, other resources you could check out is churches, co-workers ask around if someone is looking for a roommate and don't mind a child. There are food banks, salvation army, goodwill, and several other places. Many of these places you go to read all available literature there, you may run across info they don't tell you. Hope this helps. Been in binds myself.

Hey Janay,
Buying an Apartment: I am also buying an apartment and I increased my credit score in a year following this method: http://www.iwillteachyoutoberich.com/blog/how-to-improve-your-credit-score/
Food Stamps: Have you thought about applying for Food Stamps? My grandma has foodstamps, and she gets $400 a month from the government to pay for her groceries. Foodstamps aren’t really stamps. It is a blue credit card that refills $400 every month for your groceries. You can go to this website to check is you are eligible: http://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/apply
Child Support:
Do you get child support from your daughter’s other parent? you can file for child support until she is 7 years old. If you file, you can get around $500 a month for your daughter, depending on your state. You can Google “how to file for child support”
If you have any other personal finance questions, you should write your questions on Reddit, because Jobcase is primarily about jobs.
At reddit, they can help you figure out how to buy an apartment, and etc.

Hi Janay: Sorry to hear you're having trouble finding a place - getting an apartment in California can feel so difficult! I used to live in LA and I felt like I had to jump through hoops to find a place. Have you tried searching for apartments on Craigslist or similar sites? It looks like, ideally, you should find someone who wants to rent to you directly, and not through an agency or realtor (that's where you might be running into issues).
try AirBnB or senior co-housing. Renting a room in someone's home is your best best. And what middle ager doesn't want an adorable 5 yr old around?
