Noticed
Hey everyone I'm just posting today I just want to say that it doesn't pay to go out to eat any more because McDonald is starting to charge to much just because they want 15 dollars an hour I know everybody wants to make more money but what about the person owns the place I really hope the employees are thinking about him because without him you don't have a job

Really Reginald? People that own a McDonalds franchise are doing quite well. Most of them are worth a million dollars or more, but you want to shame the poor guy or gal that's trying to keep the rent paid and trying to put food on the table. Your empathy is painfully misguided.

That is exactly the kind of thought process that has created the greatest wealth divide in our country since the "Gilded Age" of the 1920's. The people that own a McDonalds franchise are doing quite well, thank-you-very-much!!

I agree, but I've worked my intire career in restraunts, never fast food but fine dining....it's not an easy job wether you wash dishes, take orders or cook...I don't think macDs should make 15$ hour unless you have worked there a few years or a manager....at least $8 to $10 is reasonable

As a franchise owner of a business such a McDonald it may not be the dream of beicoming a restaurant mogul as you may have originally perceived it to be. Granted times and the nature of running a business may seem hard pressed and the individuals you have requested a larger piece of pie (which they are enetitled to since they do 90% of the work while you only put in 10% of the effort). I ask you look at the nature of your query. 1) you invested X dollars into a business that for intend purpose would reap excellent returns provided the formula is followed to the "T". 2) you promote the business offering an opportunity to rise the bar for someone less fortunate than you. 3) they too see it as opportunity to rise the bar and become more of an asset to society as oppose to a hinderance to the life cycle. 4) As time progress you realize they are in the cycle of life but not a part of it, since "The Sky is the LIMIT" and someomne else is in control of the sky. 5) For more then ( and this is a wild guess) 15% give or take of your employees are no longer living at home with your parent where they have a safety cushion to fall back on. Someone is rising a child, someone is trying to set the ground works for their first living space. Damn someone may even be trying to avoid the government entrapment dependency. These are the things that $15 per hour or more provide to that individual which will become an upstanding citizen. Sure it harse for all but if you remember why you do what you do and they do what they do each of you are "Dream Setters" and not "Trend Setters". Something for you to think about and while you do here is one of my favorite quotes... "The needs of MANY out weigh the needs of the FEW or the ONE".

Oh for goodness sake. I'm looking for a job and I have to see your complaint. Come on, this is supposed to be a site to find a job. Also, how did you think McDonalds would be able to pay higher salaries. Of course they will have to increase the price of food.

To keep it simple, there are three aspects of society. 1) Government - taxes, inflation etc; 2) Business - growth, revenues, profit etc; and Employees - Income and spending. When you stop to think about it, any ecosystem required a balance to be sustained because in the absence of balance, things start to fall apart and society / economy is nothing more than a social ecosystem. Let's combine the two and see if the problems we are facing become evident: Government is growing at about 2 percent (roughly give or take) and the average employee's income has been growing at something at or under 1 percent and businesses seem to insist on growing at a minimum of 6 percent. Hmmm. Somehow that doesn't quite sound balanced to me. Now if Government, Business and Employees were to all grow at the same rate, say 1 percent a year, then net gain / loss is 0 and yet everyone is afforded the illusion of growth. Well, there is my 0.5 percent worth for whatever it may mean to anyone else.

To Kevin... You have proven once again that you missed the point. I have tried numerous times to let everyone know I am not elevating myself over anybody. Your words. Sounds to me as though you are insecure about something. But like you say this is about fair wage. Go back and read everything I said. If you were not getting what you think is a fair wage in your life, then get up and get on. But don't use this forum to stir things up.

With us they have no business see that cuts both ways and we know how to live on nothing but can they?

What country are you from $ 15 p/hr is no money here in America and you must make money than $10 p/hr. worker in this country really have the power because without them there is no goods or products. Greed is the problem in this country and let me tell you that there is no worry about anyone getting rich on $ 15 p/hr. If all workers stayed home and not cross picket lines the government would raise wages to $ 15 or more, because you will cut off it life line because it cannot collect taxes and they would have to shut down.
Fast food companies and franchises have been raising prices and lowering food quality for YEARS in order to increase profits. Notice, however, how all those changes hasn’t affected the amount of customer that still continue to eating at those restaurants. Employees are just asking for a better or equal share of the profits, that’s all. Not too many places left in America where you can maintain a family on $15 an hour anyway...
