Hired&Fired?
I got hired at a shelter so I figured this would be great experience I am a full-time student about to graduate in the healthcare field and don't know exactly what I want to do but I love helping people. I was very happy to get this job and happily signed over my Cori and said to the man I have not been in trouble in over 10 years he said then we should be fine I assumed everything would be fine as we had already discussed the fact that I had a checkered past as a young child growing up in the foster care system but have since for the past 15 years been doing very well for myself so I was waiting for a text message back on what day I was going to Shadow somebody now I would have been working and have a schedule that day if I had not told the man to take his time and think about who he wanted to place me with as to who he wanted me to Shadow with. I hadn't heard anything from him by the next Wednesday and I was supposed to work that weekend so I text messaged him and asked him just what was going on and he told me that he was going to have to and I have the sun message no longer go forward with the employment. That was what he said do to my Cori that was also what he said so I asked him to have Human Resources contact me in which they didn't they just sent my Cori to my house and that was nothing that was new to me as we had discussed it so what was on there that was the most recent was from 2006 larceny under and receiving stolen property I guess that is something that is tagged on with larceny under so these are crimes that I have done time for these are hard Lessons Learned. I have come a long way since this time and since any of this has gone on I am a completely different person thank God but we discussed this and I'm confused as to how I got hired and fired and still don't know why I have people that I speak to telling me that I should look into this but this isn't right you know and I've had all too many this isn't right go on with jobs I really don't care to follow up on it except for this person is saying they didn't accept me because of my Cori but my Cori has something from 2006 on it that is a misdemeanor and we discussed it I'm just wondering am I doomed really though is this destined to follow me around and ruin my career even after I get my degree? I thought since we had discussed it and since he saw me and I am make no business of hiding my past it's been a long time also just kind of feeling like it was wrong.
I graduated in 2016 I been out school for three years .... I been get ready me having a sinus infection. ... I been a Tysons twice ..... I'm in hope to keep my job for a long time

Well it's like this your between a rock and a hard place even though you have tried to do the right thing sometimes things come back to bite you on your ass sorry to hear that but I wish you all the best

Get a public defender and go before a judge to have this removed from your record..... Show them what & how you have changed and how this could hold you back! Blessings to you
What is a Cory? I never heard that term. First of all, Angela, does your education and training match what they were looking for? if it was just your background report, you should not have discussed your past with the interviewer. There are places on the application for background check to explain your past history. I think you may have talked your way into him having second thoughts. The less said, the better. Don't volunteer information unless asked. And anytime there is a conviction that has to do with larceny, that is a red flag to employers especially if your job consists of handling cash or credit cards or confidential records. The company sounds like a small, private business. Look for work in a larger company that has a human resources department. By law your previous employers can only give information about your position, dates employed, rate of pay, and whether they would rehire or not. I would suggest you have a friend call your old employers, pretending to be a prospective employer, and ask for a reference, That way you will know exactly what information they are giving about you to your new prospect. Also, request a copy of the background report that the company did on you and you can see exactly what information has been made known to them. When the results come in, they may ask you about the situation and then you can explain how you had a troubled past but you have come a long way to start over again and plan to live an honorable future. Best wishes to you in your search for a good job. Have faith, practice interviewing, and be confident in yourself. Don't dwell on the past and don't say more than is necessary. Hi! I see you are doing the right things to prove your worth and be a better person. Not only that, but you have obviously paid your debt to society, so no corporation should be allowed to block you from employment. They shouldn’t be allowed to even look at your criminal past, or make you piss in a cup! For Christ sake, the fucking POTUS doesn’t piss in a cup.
That said, you are American and F E M A L E. This means you may never be allowed to work in a legitimate job, educated or not. If you were male, there would be some boys club to welcome you and praise you for turning things around.
I wish I were kidding, but you may need to work with a guidance counselor at school to secure a job after graduation. I would check this out now.
