RN
can someone offer me suggestions???? I have had several interviews, they seem to go well, reference checks come back fine, then I wait and wait....the call never comes. What am I missing?? Is there an issue with background ie credit check??? My credit is poor due to health issues in the past I really don't know what is going on but this is discouraging and I really have no clue what to do or where this is going bad!!! I should not have any problem getting a job as a RN, but I am!!!! I am exhausted with the process, it seems a waste of time for all involved!! I have no criminal history, my RN license is unrestricted and active so I really don't know what the problem is can anyone out there help???? PLEASE?????
Hi Gina: I would suggest you do your own background check so you know what they see. Also, ask questions on what you can improve on and what hinder you from getting the job.
I had the same problem when i was in nursing school. I could not find an intern job anywhere. I got my cna credentials and have never found work in that field. I made the grade , and was dam good student. 9 years, i looked for placements, hospices all that, joined the nurses registry . And gave up, my cna expired and i went back to school Two more times for two different degree programs. And to this day, have not had one phone call , one response or anything that would guarantee me a cush job. Not one, i ended up in culinary, and now i'm struggling again. I'm 46 now, and back when that started was 27-29 years old. I had a son, and was working part time in a cashier traffic job putting myself through nursing school.by the time i graduated from nursing, i saved and planned my next child. Struggling since. Hang in there, its weird you haven't been placed or found being a RN though. Contact the local colleges, major nursing agencies around the states. they can help. Good luck.
