I have been unemployed for over 6 months and job seeking just as long, but today I was hired as a temp worker with an agency for construction. Though not my first choice, it is indeed honest work and decent pay. I wish to thank all those who were supportive and prayed for success in the job hunt. I am, however, not shutting down my job quest altogether. The same day I went to the interview, I got a call from another place offering me a possible position at the local school district from the dept. head himself. Talk about wild and crazy! In order to keep from going on the government dole or having to panhandle, I created a small business which has been good according to the season. Unfortunately, within the last 6 months, that job was not providing as well as it has previously, so things have gotten really tight. Fortunately, between my faith in God and my loving wife, we have gotten through these hard times. We're not out of those woods yet, but with the steady income this new job will provide, we should be able to catch up that which is behind and get ahead from where we are.
