PCA WORKER/ DATA ENTRY CLERK

I moved to Jonesboro , GA exactly 11 months ago. I'm having a really difficult time landing a job.

I have experience as a PCA worker working with adults with intellectual disabilities.

I also have 10 plus years as a Data Entry Clerk.

I haven't found a job, and just trying to figure out why I'm not able to find a job.

I'm 51 years old, and seem really down right now. What should I do?

Jonesboro, Georgia... within the Greater Atlanta Area, is it not? You have experience as a Patient Contact Assistant, which is good; but how long ago was this? And if it was recent, are you still certified and licensed? Also, you have 10+ years experience as a Data Entry Clerk. Let's not blurt that term out much, as it is terribly outdated. Which programs have you used? Oh, that's right, they don't call them programs, they call them applications these days. Have you used Microsoft Office (which version) professionally? Are you experienced with Customer Relations Management (CRM) platforms like SAP CRM or Zoho CRM? Do you have experience with Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) software like Oracle e-Business Suite or SAP Netweaver? I know that age is just a number (I don't let 54 get to me), but have you been discreet enough to not disclose that information to employers? Ageism is real and really ugly.

I recommend that you enroll at the WorkSource Atlanta Regional - Clayton Branch, located at 3000 Corporate Center Drive, Suite 350, Morrow, GA 30260, and their phone is (678) two seven one-3554. They're open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and their website is http://careerpointnorthbay.org/career-seekers/ They have counselors and workshops to help you find work and retraining options.

Ronnie, as you know PCA's are in high demand everywhere. Did you contact the local medical program that is run by the state of GA? Do a local search of PCA's in your area. Best oof Luck!
