INTERVIEWS: (No. #3. Mistakes To Avoid) Apperance. *Short Dresses
READ THIS PLEASE! (Small things can make a big difference.)
We are living in a time filled with much exaggeration and everything becomes possible beyond your wildest dreams and imagination!
Cassandra is headed to her 9:30AM, interview appointment. If you think that on a beautiful spring day that someone won't walk into your interview room in an "unexpected" manner," think again! With all due RESPECT, somethings can "sting" your board members like a bee!
Afterwards, I always ask the board members to "please don't hold the individual 100% accountable because someone failed to "mentor" her accordingly.
TURNKEY: Become fully aware of what attire may "sting" the board, or "spring" the board to make a hasty decision.
By all means use good judgment. You only get one chance to make a good impression.
I Believe You Can...!
I agree Edward Alexander that we ALL need to be careful of how we dress. Typically I would say knee length and below are best for interviews. Also avoid crazy patterns and stick with solids : )
