Looking for a first job experience.
I live in Buena Vista, VA. I'm not exactly sure what the job requirements are in other states however, I can work as long as I have a workers permit (which I'm working on at the moment.). I'm a 14 year old in hopes of being able to make a little extra money to help my family. Just a job as a dishwasher or a cashier would be greatly appreciated! It's hard to find a job at my age but, I'm trying my hardest to find a good opportunity. Any suggestions would be helpful, also. Thanks!

Hi Caice! Thanks for being part of the jobcase community. Forgive me for putting on the Dad hat -but I hope you are keeping focused on grades and school! As long as that is going well, then I think its great you have such an awesome work ethic (but remember to keep the focus on education at your age - it'll really pay off down the road). That said, you should be able to find some decent jobs for you in our jobs section but you also might want to look at some of the more interesting new 'gig-boards' out there where individuals post needs like babysitting, eldercare, petcare, etc. I think if you stick with places like www.sittercity.com, www.rover.com, www.thumbtack.com, or www.care.com that you should be able to find some interesting things in your neighborhood that are also safe.
