Nursing license

On my nursing license it has deviation and deception and I was wondering if anybody has issues trying to find a job? At the time that I was suspended I was also on Vicodin and Percocet from doctors and dentists and I'm sure I deviated in the hospital. I did not put that I was bipolar on the questioning because I have been stable and didn't feel that it was an issue so I did not put that down after being in treatment it all came out I still have my nursing license but I'm finding it very hard to find a job I'm up front after I interview and then I do not go to call back is there anybody there that could help me and where I could find a job I'm very good nurse I've been sober and clean since 2010. I'm from Minnesota I have a lot of reference letters and very good at what I do and I'm unable to find a job outside of Home Care also on my license it says that so when people see that for jobs they do not call me back after seeing what's on my license. Does anybody have any recommendations where I could find a job where somebody would give me a second chance? They will not take this stuff off of my license even though I completed all of my requirements to keep my license. I'd like to know if anybody has ever heard of nursing getting Second Chances in hospitals?

Hi Susan! Having a note like that on your license is going to severely limit your choice of nursing positions, however there may a chance for you. Elder Care facilities might be willing to give you a second chance as a nurse. Have you looked into positions in that field yet? Hopefully this info can expand your options beyond home care and get you back to the work you love best.
