I can say from experience that if you decide to look for other employment while using your accumulated time off (vacation time or PTO) be sure to call your employer every day and speak with a human (even if it's a dumb one) because if HR isn't doing their job and checking messages, they will never get the message that you leave them on the answering service, telling them that you won't be in for the week and worse yet, they can manipulate the situation and call it ghosting. I have had it happen and yes, I'm still bitter to this day because HR did not do their part and to boot, claim that they tried to call me. BOLOGNA! Phone calls from HR's personal cell phone do not count! (I had HR's personal cell phone blocked) My anger comes from HR not being held accountable and calling me from their cell phone and literally got away with it! The relationship HR was having with the plant manager went a long way. So many things that should have been called out but never were. I found an attorney and I could have taken it all the way to court and forced a phone record from HR's office phone to prove the alleged calls that were made to me (NOT) but I decided that I could not put myself through more weeks of grief and dealing with the situation. I got the satisfaction in knowing that I made HR sweat a little bit! LMAO. And the attorney fees that they incurred. I didn't get charged any fees from my attorney. I got some satisfaction from that too! Moving on was a good thing for me mentally just not financially. Point is, be careful about handling the situation.

I got a call Today from a lady with a heavy accent from Spectre force actually speaking as though it was a staffing agency offered me a three month position to work for a customer service representative, taking inbound and outbound calls remotely and they supply the computer and everything so that she was going to email me and that I needed to respond back and I have yet to receive an email called the number back and it popped up on caller ID is somebody else’s name I suppose this is considered a ghost job, which is very upsetting because it was the insurance industry in which I am trying to get my foot in the door at to gain the experience. I think it’s messed up that people do things like this.
