Looking to be a part of the GM family please help
I have a total of 6 years in manufacturing and production with Ford Motor company but I've had a really hard time trying to find out what position at GM I might be able to get in to. Im only about 3 classes away from a bachelor's in human resources and I'm great with people. I also spent 6 months working as an apprentice millwright. My dream is to be on the opposite side of the assembly line where I can help people with in plant issues. I don't even know where to start. Is there anyone that might be able to guide me in the right direction. I really miss working in a plant and ever since I've moved to Saginaw I have no job connections or mentors at all. Is there a way to get into GM and actually have a chance? Thank you.
Hi Melissa: Thanks for posting to Jobcase! It might be worthwhile checking out their job opportunities through their student track, which you can find here: http://careers.gm.com/student-center.html They provide you with training and insights into the GM culture, plus you can start a job that might turn into a lengthy career with GM. Hope this helps!
