So I have been a sprinkler fitter for 10 plus years and all of my jobs were at companies that just wanted me to do the same job, no advancement. I realized this was a dead end job. So I completely quit the trade and got a job as an HVAC pipe fitter. I have been doing this for a year. Last month I was contacted about a company that is starting a fire sprinkler division. I replied and went through an interview. A week later they scheduled me another interview. This past week I received an offer letter. So now I have accepted the job as the lead sprinkler tech. Within the next 2 years I'll be a manager. I was thinking last night. How did this come? By chance? Then I realized I have been reading self help books for the last year. My whole out look on life has changed drastically within the last year. The opportunities will come as long as you apply your self in the correct way. I am proof of it. This job I took is 4$/hr more than I'm currently making plus commission bonuses at the end of every month. Plus a fast track to advancing my career!! Who could ask for more?
