Hired
Having worked steadily for 40 years at 3 Engineering companies i was laid off in March.Boy has the job search process changed.Now that i'm collecting SSI i can be more selective.I applied for jobs in my field and also PT jobs at Costco,Home Depot and others.I received instant responses from the Engineering co's and interviews but the PT jobs took weeks just to get an acknowledgement that i applied there. A month after applying to Home Depot i had an interview was hired on the spot and 3 weeks later my drug test and background check was approved and i start this week.This entire process is unbelievable and i'm very happy and fortunate. All of you out there hang in there most co's will get back to you don't give up.

I had no idea HD took this long to hire. I applies a while back but had given up because nobody called me back. That's real good that you got hired on. Good luck with the job and thanks for sharing that info on the HD app. Peace
go right to Home Depots web site . you can select a store and it will give you all the openings there.It might take weeks for them to get back to you.But you can log into there site and see progress on your application.I applied there almost 2 months ago and i start working there this week.good luck. I had no luck until i applied directly to their website. Also you can apply for several different postions at different sites once they have your profile.
