

Depends on the position … if a letter carrier, make sure you take notes . Write down any clue that’ll help you know what address you’re at because some houses might not have their address number . Ask questions because you may be out there on your own sooner than you know it.

Make sure you join the union for your craft, every day ask "how am I doing" since they more than likely won't give you your 30-60-90 day evaluation this will help you if they try to fire you, they are required to inform you of any deficiency so you can improve if they fail to do there job the union should be able to protect yours, the other comments are good advise as well

Depending on where you will work, just take in everything. You may be doing more then what you were assigned to do.
If you are a PSE avoid idle gossip, and just be on time. Learn as much as you can about the different areas.
