Should i avoid google accounts?
There is a lot of confusion right now with me and my search for a job. I am aware of the scams with the fake checks, but am I skipping out on an opportunity simply because I'm avoiding the interviews on google accounts?

I think it depends on the initial contact you've had.
If you've applied through a company's website or in person, but then they use some Google service as part of the interview process, that's fine (I've had a couple job applications go through that). However, if people are emailing you randomly with those details, or you see posting on job boards which seem to jump to that directly, I think that's a big red flag to you that it's probably a scam.
