Keep in mind that just because you've applied for a position doesn't mean a company is even hiring in that moment or at the time you've applied. You have to first check with HD to see when they're hiring and then call or speak with the store manager to follow up on your application submission. Secondly, you cannot assume that by submitting an application you are entitled to an interview. If your experience sparks the manager's interest you might be contacted to set up an interview, but this is not a guarantee.
If they feel you aren't a match to their expectations, they may have reviewed it and eliminated you from the process during which means you have been overlooked and they have moved onto to viewing other candidates.
Welcome to the process of job-seeking. It's not an easy process. If it's been 3 weeks then I suggest you call the store location to follow up on your application.

I've applied to Home Depot 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard from them.The next week I heard on the news that they were hiring?????? NOw if that was the case shouldn't they had checked the applications that were already there; like mine first? What I was appling for was stocking.

You know pretty every day I look for phlebotomy their quest lab corp plus some type of test you have to really and then is monster indeed.com so on and so forth but the only one they want give is Uber some one to put these major company on blast it crazy that the world has change so much
