Also you must be able to pass the background check and as I said again be wary of the schools you choose and check with your state to see what is a state qualified certification school because there are such things and they also can be taken online don't overpay

You can volunteer at an assisted living facility or some Assisted Living Facilities do not requiree experience and are willing to hire and train you. Also, if you take care of a relative or family friend that counts as caregiving experience. You may also try and get CNA certified and that will open so much more opportunities for experience and other pathways down the road. Hope this helped!

It varies by state I'm sure but I have worked for 4 different companies as a caregiver in Ne. The only training I had other then what the employer provided of how they want things done was family experiences. That is the big difference between a CNA and a caregiver, lower pay and not schooling required.

There are schools for CNA training. Also some companies train their employees and test them randomly.

Where I work they train you to be a caregiver. You watch some videos and pass background check. No experience required.

Most companies like Home Instead, etc. will provide their own training when you are hired. It does help to know CPR, and have had some experience in caregiving even if it was a family member.

You can get training through IHSS which is in home supportive services to the state but if you would like to be certified you can go to take courses to get certified it really depends on the type of caregiver you want to be or are willing to be when you know that after you look up the types of caregivers then you can search for the course that is best for you to take summer expensive some are inexpensive some are that do the same outcome are expensive when you need to watch out for them but they can also be taken on online as well. The jobs that do train you they don't certify you and if you want to be paid top dollar you want to certified
