If it's a non violent or sex crime it should definitely be erased from your record after you served your sentence. Either be jail, prison or probation time. Poof gone.

After leaving the region where I attended college it was difficult to get desired employment. I ended up surveying lots of different jobs. My list of past employers is more than a few. Years later my transferable skills took me in the direction of my interest. The blessing of employment may not come soon. But should the Lord open doors through temp agencies and gig work aiming for longterm goals may be a wise thing to do. Keeping ones self busy through self employment is also impressive even though one may lack investment funds. Plan to rebuild a work place that suits you.

Just another thing that proves prison reform doesn’t work. Now obviously there are exceptions to every rule, for example if you sexually assaulted a minor, it would make sense that it would be flagged to not work in any type of childcare/school setting or any position in a setting where you would enter a home with children. However there are plenty of opportunities available outside these parameters. In my opinion, it should be a mandatory part of the time of incarceration to prepare a felon for entry into society as a productive member. And people wonder why these felons fail and re-enter the system time and time again.

Unfortunately in this society you could never out run your mistake from your pass you will always be judged for it. You have to all the way over, from the bottom, and work your way up... Having faith 🙏 in God's promise , and not in man. You will Succeed, I did...
