Unsure

Hi. I can really use some advice . I quit my job back in October of 2016 due to some unforseen personal issues . I spoke with my manager and supervisor and explained what was going on . They were upset but said they understood . They told me that if I ever came back to the area I would always have a job . I relocated back to new jersey and have had interviews that I thought went GREAT only to find out that I didn't get the position . I honestly think that when it comes to checking references my previous employer is giving me a bad review. I've only had 3 jobs in my life . My question is so I omit this company from my resume ? And if I do that will leave a 3 year gap in my employment so how do I explain that to potential employers ? Any suggestions will help thanks

I believe that honesty is the best policy, however, privacy is our god-given, humane, constitutional right. I would explain my gap with: there were some pressing & demanding personal issues which required undivided attention which only I was capable of handling, & unfortunately stagnated me from obtaining a productive employment position. I reassure u DAT now I have DA ability 2 provide my undivided attention 2 DA work duties & demands of the very next employment position I attain. Ne & all questions in these regards are welcome. Please all low me such opportunity 2 walk DA talk of which I am providing 2you &rest assured that I will not let u down. Then do it! As far as this other company is concerned, life is 2 short 2 remain loyal when it is not reciprocated & 2 many opportunities 2 "cry over spilled milk". I used 2 work 4 a human resource department, so I hope i've helped & nothing but the best of lux 2 u. -shaleen

Give someone else's name at that job that you can rely on.

Definitely not! They aren't supposed to be saying anything more than the dates you were employed and if they would hire you back or not. Plus, that may not even be the reason you aren't getting hired. It would be better to follow up on your apps and interviews. You have to keep in mind that you may not be the only person who had a great interview and they have a tough decision to make when choosing who to hire. Thank you notes after the interview are also really good to do. I think it's best to hand write on and send it the same day you had the interview that way the receive it the following day or two after. Hope that helps you.
