How can I check in without sounding desperate?

I’ve applied to all the open warehouse jobs within a 50 mile radius from my home. I have more than 10 years experience and also OSHA certified forklift operator. It’s been over 2 months since I applied to some of the jobs and the websites still show the job openings so i honestly don’t understand the problem. How long should I wait to follow-up with management about the job?

Persistence, Persistence, Persistence, once you send your resume you should give them a call. you never know at that moment they could be really needing someone.

I agree Anthony, follow-up within 2-5 days after submitting your resume; with hundreds of resumes you need to stand out from the crowd. Did you send a cover letter as well? Here's a book I'm using that has a lot of great info and is recommended by Colleges, the Army (no less) and other career services " Quick Resume and Cover Letter Book" by Michael Farr. Miuch more than just a resume book, believe me. Two more things: never discount staffing services-they can get your foot in the door. Company to look at Americold Logistics (don;'t know where you are but they are all over the country) and finally check your local Unemployment office-they should have career services available with job leads. Good hunting!

I have applied for Senior care paid 45.00 for 3 months and have never gotten a response from no one on Care.com. So why am I paying for the advertising and haven't gotten any feedback?

My experience I called or emailed within 2 or 3 days it shows you are serious about employment and want the job. Not sure where your located but I'm in Ohio and it's mainly warehouse /industrial work here and there all looking for experienced forklift operators with experience and straight hired in potions no temp agency. Keep trying you'll find something.

I would reapply to any and all jobs. The market for all jobs is really competitive. Not sure where you live, but you might try the Amazon Fulfillment jobs.

I have been getting the same things. one place that i had the number to, when I called they were glad because they said they had hundreds of applicants, and they liked me calling to ask if they had considered me for the position. I wouldn't wait for more than a week before I called them. good luck

don't worry about sounding too desperate and follow-up with each job. Persistence is a good thing.

2 months is a long enough time to merit a response. I wouldn't recommend calling warehouses looking for a managers to take time out of their day to talk to you about employment. Ben there and done that. Find a contact that works there and ask them to refer you or keep applying until you get a call back.
