I honestly don't know how people can have a job and go to school at the same time. as much as i want a job it just seems so stressful to do all of that.

time management and a helping partner its the way i see it helping those folks.

Ms. Wilson there are 2 or 3 ways to go about this. First you could've done it the easy way and stay home and finish college full time then leave your parents out into the world. 2nd way is to try growing up too fast, leave home struggle with Taco Bell and take forever to get the degree. Or 3rd. Enter the military after highschool and get a paycheck every 2 weeks and attend class after duty hrs. You see I've done all that to say we all have choices in our lives. We all must enter stages in our lives. I've always taken the easy way about things so that old age and a hard head wouldn't catch me later in life. Now all you have to do is make the choices left. But age 32 is the oldest that you can be to enter any branch of service. Think about it. Now is your chance to make it easy on yourself.

I hear you, sister job hunter. I get so tired of all the calls for being honest enough to answer "maybe" when an app or search site asks if I want to go back to school. I do understand why though. Improving your education can mean advancement or even a better job. Do rule out online classes if you can get an hour or two free a few nights a week, if that's what you really want to do and can afford it. BUT don't harm your health in the process. Talk to your friends, family, and church to see if they can help you free up some time (watch kids etc if you have any. Pace yourself in this and at work. In any case, keep the regrets to a minimum and have a great year.

You can do it!! Twenty years ago I worked 32-36 hours a week, was a full time nursing student and a single mom with zero involvement/help from his father. Just keep reminding yourself that your situation won't last forever, there's an endpoint in sight and your situation will be better on the other side. You can do it!!!

I agree! F/T school and work is stressful and definitely not something all students can manage. That's why many dropout and don't complete their degrees an others don't bother going to school. Students should have an opportunity to experience the full college experience without having to worry about working to supplement income unless it's an internship.
...part of de Blame is Today's way of thinking...back in my Day, I accomplished Full-time work/college because I inherited a Strong Work Ethic from my Immigrant Parents & Grandparents...I saw what they went through in their lives---and was completely Awestruck...that pushed me to Finish, because that was de Least I could do---compared to what they managed to get Done...if you don't have such magnificent Role Models ( like I had )---YUP, I would have slinked & slumped down in a chair, and sat perplexed....just like you're Doing, now...
