What does "you're not a good fit" really mean?
Sigh. It's happened again. The interview went so well -- or so it seemed. But then comes the 'kind' rejection: "We do not feel you would be a good fit...."
What are they telling you? Was it something that you said? Or didn't say? What IS a 'good fit'?
This article offers a different perspective. Hope it's helpful: https://meetingjobs.com/not-good-fit-really-mean/

It means that if u wore the wrong clothes or your hair was out of place or u didn't smile just the right way then u don't fit. In other words they didn't like your apperance.i would have told them too kiss my ass

God Bless your heart

It simply means you don't fit their needs. Adding value isn't changing that.

It simply means add more value. Being unfit doesn't mean you can't walk or run but it means you're not persistent enough to run further. You can work but not to their best then prove them wrong

That is a good question. Maybe you were lucky to hear it early. For me it took three weeks into a new job. I worked every shift that they wanted. 5am to 1pm? Ok. 3 pm to 1am? No problem. I even worked shifts that got me out at 8pm and back at 5am the next day. I only got a few hours sleep but I did it. No lunch. No break. Sometimes not even for the restroom. Then one day I got pulled aside and let go saying "I wasn't a good fit."

Lol Before I walked out of there I would have asked the same questions you are asking us " "What does that mean and what is a good fit??" Best to you!!:)

Well I can't explain it but don't feel bad I have interviewed with several churches and every one of them notified me by email after the interview "we were impressed with your education, and your experience but feel that you are not a good fit for our church."

I was hired at this company I wanted to get into for a long time, everything went well, so,I thought. It waa for a machine operator position they where hiring for alot of positions, a job I've never performed before, a CNC Lathe position, I told them this, I've done mostly Quality Control simer production positions. They said they'd train 4-6 weeks or longer if needed. I had problems being picked on right away from the supervisor, I was let go not even 3 weeks into the job, the supervisor complained there was already too much "bottle-necking" as it was, & that I should've learned this job in 2 weeks or less! No way! I should've said no & applied for a Quality position in the 1st place, I wasn't expecting what happened to me. I asked if I could apply for a Quality position, I was then told I "wasn't a good fit for the company". I did research about this company after, it's not a good place to work for after all.

I hate that term because most people that use it are just scared if they let you in they will lose their job to you. Lmmao keep your head up high that was not your job
Merry Maids owner just let me go "because I'm NOT a good fit" she didn't even let me finish my 2 weeks training. I have no job at all. I guess I'm not a maid. I'm a princess.🤣😂
