I graduated with a mechanical engineering degree in May and I'm still finding it hard to find a job. I've had a couple interviews but no success. Any advice for me? Or if you know of a company in Northwest Indiana or Chicago area that is hiring an entry-level mechanical engineer that would be great too.

Look up Nordson - Asymtek

You should look into field service tech/engineer positons

Research the top 10 companies for ME in those areas. Make relationships within the company. Forward your resume to the contacts you make, not just to HR. If you don't have luck within these areas, explore the top places for MEs like Austin, Gainesville, etc. Also, make sure Your LinkedIn network knows you are searching for a position in the market. Your networking is key! Good Luck!

My suggestion to you that you may want to put your resume on a job site. That way employers can find you. Also, if you do not have a family you may look for jobs outside of those two states. The World is a big place.

Deliyah:
It may take a while before you find something in your field. So look for something else until your dream job becomes available. Be very proud that you earned a degree it will become so valuable in the future. Take it from me I wish every day that I had continued my education. Today, I'm not qualified for a supervisory position I once held. Therefore I preach EDUCATION to any young adult whether they listen or not. I know you will have a successful future.
