A little guide for those looking
I have noticed that a lot of the community is in the same position I am. I am also looking for a F/T position. When you out thereon the internet, applying for jobs daily, getting no response, getting a couple of phone interviews but nothing after that.
You all need to be first looking on every job board you can find, applying for any job application you are 80 percent qualified for. Why do I say 80 percent, because no person is 100 percent qualified for any position, the company will always have to do some training and they know that. When you do this be prepared to receive a lot of phone calls, most of which will be recruiters. You need to go to them all! The reason why is a that companies will not go to every recruiter, they only go to one or two. So you need to be in as many as possible to make sure you do not miss out on an opportunity. Lastly, apply for direct jobs as well. Just remember that this process is long and can take months for the company to respond to you, even if they do. You have to remember you are not the only application they are receiving, depending on the field and level of the job, they can get 3 or 4 thousand applications, so you have to make you application/resume stand out in any way possible.
Remember for yourselves, and I know this piece will be difficult for some. Stay the course! You will need to have a lot of patience if you are to succeed.
If anyone has any questions about finding a job or a resume, I will try to help.
I want to wish everyone the best of luck in looking for a new job!
Great advice, Robert!
