My advice to people interested in working at #U.S.Navy as a #SecurityWatchCommander ...
To always know your worth and be willing to grow in your profession. Never allow yourself to be threaten by someone's rank, and intelligence. Often times individuals are promoted to their level incompetence.

As an ex marine, I was an officer and agree to not let rank intimidate you. I always told the soldiers, you don't have to respect the man, but respect the rank. Just because a person serves time in grade / service does not mean they deserve to be promoted. I know officers who did not deserve to be the rank they were. With that said, people have to earn respect, no matter what their rank.

How can I apply

True, how did you overcome a challenge working for the U.S. Navy and what skills did you obtained?
You are so correct as I listened to some amazing stories of incompetent individuals in high ranking positions just this past week.
