Hi. While I was studying for the exam, some members of a local PM group were kind enough to share their helpful suggestions for passing. I'm starting this conversation to share them and add a few of my own. Would others who have taken the exam add your advice, please?

Now there's a thought, I forgot about Robin! The TIME constraint for the PMP exam. OMG!!!....Thanks for raising another level of awareness for me. I did some Mock Exam questions and found myself spending now what is clearly too much time thinking about which response was correct. NEW STRATEGY....Take a timed exam and see how I do. :-) Will keep you posted.

It's multiple choice. You can often knock out one or two of the four answers immediately. So if you know two answers are wrong, you now have a 50-50 chance of getting it right. With the electronic testing systems, you can mark this question as one to come back and review, if you have time.

Read the questions carefully.
If it asks what should you do next, answer with the next step, not a later step, even if that later step is more important. Sometimes more than one answer is potentially correct, pick the best answer.

Remember to give the "official" answer. When the exam asks what you should do, the right answer may not be what you would do.
