Scared
Tired of being rejected. I got all these years of experience but I am getting tried of the "we have decided to go with someone else". Yall i am trying to keep my head up but its hard. Just needing words of encouragement. From someone who is scared and tired of being rejected. I just want to work.....
I don't know what field you're in but some times you will hit a crack in the road that you cant get passed.It may be your future work doesn't lye straight ahead but to the left or right. This might be time for a change if you're looking at the same kind of company you may need to widen your search to include different kinds of companies that need someone in a (similar)position. Don't be afraid to use your knowledge in a new type of position let them know that your experience and knowledge will be a great benefit to the company
Sometime we have to take control of our lives and make it what we want it to be. Your life is what you make of it. Good or bad nobody cares, because we all have fears we have to face, so why not state facing yours today! Take control and seize the day! Mary, it's normal to feel the way you do as many do. The trick is knowing your value, believe in yourself.. yes, it's easier said then done. Don't forget, BELIEVE in yourself, positive thinking only brings positive results...
I have had that this entire year. I have over 30 years experience in my field of counseling and therapy where experience is extremely critical and I have found myself being told, "we are sorry, but we are going in another direction." I obtain no more than this. I then find out they hired someone with far fewer years of experience. It is very frustrating. I just keep applying. That is all I can do.
That is all I hear these days when applying for a Pastor's job at a Baptist church. I have 25 years experience and hold 3 Doctorate Degrees but can't find a church because every church I send a resume to says "We have decided to go in a different direction."
Just go volunteer at an animal shelter or hospital!!!! Someone will notice you
What ever you do don't quite or give up it's cool to take a break every an just keep your eyes on the prize

Yes i also had the same problem so i started working for a temp agency and since then the most time ive been off work is 2 weeks other than that they are good at finding full time work temp... The pay is ok the least ive worked for is 12.50 an hour and all the way up too 15.00 an hour plus anything over 40 a week is time and a half so up to 22 an hour and most places through temp offer lots of overtime and usually pick the shift you want. I have worked from graveyard to mornings.. They usually let you pick your hours.. Plus the benefit to it i like is not being stuck doing the same boring thing all the time.. I actually enjoy jumping around and you pick up alot of new experiences.. So you actually can pick up alot of new things to add to your resume.. So i suggeste if you dont find something perminit soon look fir a temp agency around you.. I live in a small town with nothing out here so i do travel to an agency about an hour from my house but like i said good hours and mostly full time work right away..
I'm with you. I've filled out hundreds of applications and not even gotten a phone interview. I'm not sure what to say as I even had professional help with my resume. I'm either too qualified, too educated, not enough tech credentials or all sorts of silly excuses PROVIDING the company has the decency to even send a "Dear Jane" note. What has society become? A smartphone or a community of people needing people?
