Would a union strike hurt my job search?
I've been a driver for much of my job life, and have been doing Uber, Lyft, etc. for the past 2+ years. While it's been nice having flexility, I want to get a job with healthcare.
I have an interview with UPS later this week and I just heard there might be a strike. Could this hurt my job search with UPS, also do I have to join the union if I get this job? This is all new to me. #advice

Or Or Orrrrr, you can continue to Lyft, and Uber and easily find individual insurance coverage for yourself and customize it based on your needs. I have my very own BCBS agent that helps me with my healthcare needs and decisions based on my health.
You can call BCBS, AETNA, United Health care, and the rest of them. I started out at the Marketplace years ago. Now that I'm a trucker, I graduated to an agent who solicited my area and it's great. My monthly premiums were zero dollars a month for years.
Mind you, I was in healthcare for those years. I'm sure the market has changed, but if you wanna keep your flexibility, you do have options.
Orrrrrrr, good luck with your job interview at UPS. I don't know what position you applied to speak on the union aspect. The best of luck to you and many blessings.
Weigh your options well. Stop a UPS driver on the street and ask them the questions you need answers to.
Ms Smith posts job opportunities on this platform. You have plenty of options.

It may be a Union shop. If so you’re paying dues anyway. Take advantage of the things the union does for you.
I’m 27 years in a job that is overwhelmed by unions. Yes, I’m a dues paying member of a union. We had to recently allow those who don’t want to belong to the union, to remain on the job and stop paying dues. I know of only one guy at our place that actually did it. I figured he was just a cheapass.
As for UPS, my nephew used to work for them. Was overworked so he decided not to go in. Didn’t call. Just didn’t show up. For days. Weeks. Finally they started calling him. Offering NOT his old job back, but a promotion and a raise if he’d come back to work. 😜

If you get a driving job for UPS here locally then YES you’d have to be a union member. I was a Teamster for 15 years as well as a shop steward. Everywhere is desperate for drivers. The strike with UPS is because of the working conditions surrounding the nature of their specific duties. No AC, working on a schedule that often forces them to skip breaks and or lunches just to have to urinate in a bottle because of the way all this has played out. The machine will break down if workers aren’t treated like people and not a stepping stone to the almighty $$$. Go Teamsters and support your brothers and sisters that are standing up for themselves and future Union and UPS workers!

The strike might be a good thing for you because some employees may decide to leave their positions, which could open up doors for you in the end.

It shouldn't affect your job search, go get that job!

You don't have to join a union, but it could help a lot.

If you prefer online buying to physical shopping, you should get this pedro pascal denim jacket from an online store since the price and quality are quite inexpensive.

I love playing video games. I can relax after a day's work only this way. I want to immerse myself in the game and enjoy the magical world. So thank you very much for the game run 3 you recommended.

You may want to consider driving for your local public transit organization. You get paid training, and overtime (if you want it). There is also the option of driving for the paratransit dept of public transit (smaller vans) as well.
