THANK YOU JOBCASE.
Thank you and I thank everyone who helped me come out of my shell and be confident in me...im glad that my story helped others come together on a topic that is so common. young and old alike.. there's still things that need attention.. my roommate just called me about the rent that I owe...as of tomorrow $600.. and I haven't even gotten my first check from unemployment yet... I like the room I have but it seems she's not trying to hear me.. I tried to tell her that once I start work. my first paycheck will be in two weeks, before that, I should receive some money from unemployment.. I'll give her all the money minus $31 dollars for my metrocard to get back and forth from ,my new job. and once I get paid from work. the same plan until I catch up, but I will get paid every two weeks.... she keeps going back to not having extra money to send to D.R. and other stuff. how she has to pay for this and that. I'm not the only one shes renting to. there's another room she's renting. not as much as mine. it's much smaller.. basically she doesn't want to hear me. don't care in other words. Oh and by the way I've been living here for the past 2 and a half years. I'm not saying she's a mean person. she a single mother, two kids. one seventeen and the other fourteen.. I understand her plight.

That is a tough situation. I can see where she's coming from, but it would be nice if she'd be a little more understanding. Do you have a lease signed, or it's just a word of mouth agreement?

Hi Tyrone: Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm sorry to hear about what you've been going through with your roommate - I hope she's able to understand your situation. Especially since you've been a good tenant for the past two years!
Hi Tyrone.. This seems to be more common than we all realize. I can understand both of your situations. Maybe ask her if she is willing to accept a written promise to pay. If she declines then she might already have someone lined up for the room you're renting. Granted WE ALL have bills but I don't think your request would be unreasonable. Keep your head up. Good luck!
