anyone have any idea where I can find a job that will let me work from home? Got laid off after 34 years with the same company... and after being home through the winter months I realized how great it was not having to travel from NJ to NY in the freezing cold temps at 7am. I would love a work from home job. Any suggestions?

Hi Karen! Working from home can be a very dangerous thing. There are a TON of wfh scams going around these days and so you'll have to be extremely careful with your search. I recommend starting with legit companies. For example, Amazon hires wfh employees, you can get started with this link here: https://www.amazon.jobs/location/virtual-locations
You can also check out Enterprise (the car rental company) wfh customer service jobs here: https://careers.enterprise.com/category/work-from-home-jobs/430-1626-1625-5496/17267/1
Beyond that, check out sites like upwork.com where they weed out the scammers for you. Some wfh sites (perhaps Upwork, I haven't looked in a while) require a monthly fee, but if they're removing all the fake jobs and whatnot, sometimes that's worth it.
Just remember to keep yourself safe if you're determined to work from home. Don't accept any checks for work you haven't done, and never ever give out your bank account info. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is, and could get you in trouble!
