i am sure you will find supportive employers, but be sure to lead with what you can do to help their business when you meet them. Their will be plenty of people to "take a chance and alllow you to work and learn" but you still need to demonstrate to them what they will achieve from doing so. Enthusiasm about a role and or the purpose of that company and how you believe you will contribute will go a long way to making you stand out from the crowd.

Lots of employers will enjoy the chance to hire someone ambitious and give them support in many ways, but they still need to move their business forward in the short term - so be sure to lead any application and conversation with how you will help them first (and if they are a good match for you - then they will ask you how they can help you at the same time).
