Quit for a disability and unemployment denied me...help.
I have PTSD (I can't drive and only ride with 5 drivers). I have severe panic attacks to the point of passing out, vomiting and chest pains that mimic heart attack. My mom who I rode to work with on over an hour commute was forced to retire, so that left me no choice but to quit. Unemployment denied my claim...I can appeal...does anyone have any suggestions to help me get unemployment while I look for remote work or something close to home that I could get to with a trusted driver..

But I have india

Nothing to worry I help you but I know driving

Just cause u have ptsd doesn’t mean ur a veteran

PTSD is former Military. Have you applied for Veterans Benefits?

As others have said, this is a disability issue. Apply for disability through SSI. Unemployment covers involuntary separation. When you voluntarily quit a position, you are not eligible for unemployment benefits.

I've had severe driving anxiety myself for many years. Not sure where you live, but I used public transportation. Now I am driving, though it can be tough and I'm not going far, but you can work through it. You can be put on SSRI's and anti-anxiety meds that will allow you to drive and be calm, you can go through therapy at the same time. There are professionals that specialize in helping people with driving anxiety get over it. Have you tried any of these things? If you quit you typically do not get unemployment. You could've also asked your employer about accommodations for a disability, which PTSD is included, but you need a doctor to be involved.

You don't get unemployment insurance when you quit, no exceptions.
If you have PTSD, you qualify for Social security disability. First you apply with social security then they denie people, with the denial paper they mail you, you hire an attorney who is a specialist with social security and they take over to win your case. As long as you have doctor documentation of your PTSD, a lawyer will help you. And lawyers don't charge you unless they win your case. Once they win your case, they take their payment when they send you your backpay. Look into it, maybe this can help you.
