Very frustrated!!!!!
I am in my mid 40's, trying to capitalize on the fact I went back to school and got my Bachelors degree in business. Having almost 30 years experience in manufacturing and 10 + years in lower management. I have put literally hundreds of resumes out here in AZ and the few interviews I've had amounted to "Not enough skills or Not the right skills". What do I do? I feel my toilet paper does more for me than my degree. Helpppp with any suggestions. Thanks

Have U re-applied to former employers and informed them of your academic growth & skill enhancement????; Maybe U are searching in the incorrect 'work market'! Work...to me is a 'career' search; while 'a job search' will usually keep U being: Just Over Broke = JOB! What is it that U R really searching. Re-Group; Re-Look your Goals & Objectives, then move Forward from there! "R U clipping your own wings...which keep U from 'flying' or are you expanding them to catch the 'Up Draft' which will help U safely land exactly where & when U need to be? Doris

Frustrated. A company is suppose to get back with me regarding an offer as of last Thursday and it is now Wednesday. Should I contact the company or still wait? Anyone have any feedback? I also am interviewing with other companies what are some good closing lines?

Check out usa.jobs and look up the Defense Contract Management Agency for quality assurance specialists. Your education would qualify you for these positions with your college degree and experience in management.

OMG! Get out of my head! Same here! I’ve been looking in San Diego and L.A. and nothing. A friend hand delivered my résumé to a hiring person who said I didn’t have the experience for the position. I highlighted everything I’ve done (at her request). The entire 2 pages were ALL yellow!! I did the same on my résumé (which should’ve been her job) to compare the two. No callback or email! I’ll be 45 in October!

I feel the same way. I feel like it’s age discrimination in Arizona/

Hi, have you thought about relocating? It's so many jobs right here in Texas. Just a thought.

FIRST JOHN COOLEY Don't give up keep the hope and Continue to apply .In the life nothing is easy.SECONDLY rewrite your cv he had to be centered in a specific job desired.Present a good cover letter , explain why are you qualify for the job.Talk about your good work experiences at the end your are trying to get only ONE opportunity to show to the team of work your efficiency.

At 47, I went back to college a third time to earn the BSBA degree that every employer required. In 42 months I walked away with 2 BSBA degrees. I have been labeled as over or underqualified since June 2006
Age discrimination has to be the primary reason for not being accepted by society with over 27 years of experience to offer as well.

"Not enough skills" is a euphemism for "not enough experience". People with only a degree and no experience only get hired into entry-level positions. Is that what you are applying for?
You will have to go talk to the boss man yourself, that is the way it is at about any job around here in West Va.
