After the interview...
I have applied to CVS over three times for sure and I finally got an interview. This was my first interview, so I was very nervous, but everything went OK. The thing is, I don't have much experience, but I have the education. Where I live, a lot of jobs value experience over education. So I never get a chance. What happens now???? Do I wait for a call, or do I call them..thanks for the advice in advance!!!

Call them about a week after your interview, if you don't start 2 days later, call every other day.

Sounds like CVS is too blind to see that despite your lack of formal experience, you've got drive, determination and, as evinced by your education, stick-to-it-iveness. I'm thinking I wouldn't want to work for a company that's so myopic; however, that's me. If YOU want to work with them, call....and call....and call....until they are sick of hearing from you and either stop answering your calls or they hire you. I had a friend of mine who called a particular IBM recruiter every Friday for months on end until finally they hired him (the recruiter said he hired Burt just so he wouldn't have to answer any more of his calls!). Another thing you can do is send an email to the interviewer (I'm assuming he/she gave you a business card, which is the norm at most places) thanking him/her for taking time to meet with you and discuss the particulars of the position, etc. Be sure to thank the interviewer for helping set a calm, relaxed and comfortable environment, even if it isn't true. I hate to say it, but a little brown-nosing won't hurt. Now, if you REALLY want to demonstrate how intent you are at getting a job with CVS, go back and see the interviewer. That will send an unmistakable message that you are really serious about working for them. Good luck!

This is easy..... You've applied to CVS.... Now go apply to Rite Aid, Walgreen's, AND ANY OTHER place till you get hired. Apply, apply, apply, apply..... How many times do you need to hear it. Foward my dear lady.... And remember that social workers don't give advice.... That's what Dear Abby does. I offer alternative choices.
Hi. I would 2 days , 3 tops then just reach out. It shows your excited about the job. Good Luck.
