Beware of these Scammers!!!

Beware of any work at home position that sends you a check then asked you to send money else where so someone else can order your equipment. Also BIGGEST red flag, I have been contacted at least 4 times by scammers they all want to interview you online through google hangouts, ever single one. They have used names and company's off of LinkedIn, they have gotten my info from internet sites. But never an email with company name it's gmail, yahoo or something they made up.
I have even google who they said they were found out the VP had left the company and then I emailed the company they told me it had to be a scam he left last year. So run for the hills if the day Google Hangouts!

Hi Cheryl, great tips! You're absolutely right. All of these things point to scams! The thing about Google Hangouts interviews is that there's no way to prove that the person you're talking to is even a part of the company!

Work from home job opportunities are riddled with scammers these days. If you're looking for work from home only, I recommend joining a site like Upwork, because they try to keep the scams out of their listings. But more realistically, I would recommend looking for work NOT from home, because legit work-from-home opportunities are very rare and rarely lucrative.

Thanks for sharing with the community, Cheryl!
