My 22 year old daughter tried to help her friend out. My daughter was working 7 days a week for decent pay doing something that made her happy about 7 months ago. Her friend needed to make money and my daughter wanted a day or two off as a caregiver. Well, my daughter lost her job cuz her friend stole the car of their client. My daughter was so sad. As a mom and nurturer, I normally tell my daughter when she makes mistakes it will be ok( this is when she was a child!). Due to the fact that she was 22 and this happened, I said to my daughter... Have u lost your mind! Y in the heck would u basically give your job even to your friend? I also said to her, y didn't u come talk to me before u did this so I could tell u NO!!!??? Mind u, my daughter tries to help others and thats not a bad thing. But my daughters friend use to cook better than my daughter and do hair better than my daughter . I went in on my daughter and was like, y would u give the job to someone who will be steep competition? !!! My daughter still hasn't found a job that she loves doing like she loved that particular job. I told her lesson learned and hugged her. I must teachy kids at times with a bit of sternness so they will know the world doesn't play fair!
