Help please
I work at Papa John's as an assistant manager. I was suspended for money I didn't steal, threatened numerous times and I've been talked to like a dog by the owner. I tried to call corporate but since it's privately owned and a franchise, my complaints would go to the person I have a problem with which is my boss. What can I do? Nothing?
From the text exchange it looks like you knew your employee was stealing, but didn't do anything about it.
I might be misreading completely, but if that is what happened, the owner has every right to be enraged.
He hired his management team to do the right thing, which is to ensure the well-being of the business.
If you failed to do that, that's a problem and perhaps he is frustrated and lost faith in you and your ability to be in a leadership position.
If you did report your employee for stealing and he is still acting like a tyrant, then it might be best if you seek out greener pastures. Take your managerial experience to a place where it will be valued.
