Thinking about just starting my own business
It's hard getting a job, I've received offers but when it comes to background checks I lose the job offer. A recent background check company call First Advantage conducted a background check and I did my part by sending the proper paper work and they said I wasn't disqualified from being hired but it was up to Lowe's to hire me. Well Lowes didn't hire me and didn't even call to let me know nothing. My background is not the cutest but I haven't been in trouble since 2011 and I served my time. I think I deserve a chance. I'm in school right now working on my bachelor's so I can open my own business and I'm going to remember those companies that didn't take a chance with me because I'm not doing business with them at all.
Brother you got the right idea. I believe in second chances. I'm planning on opening up my business soon and only hiring people with a not so good record. We all have a past, and all we can do is make a better future. Build your own and make opportunities for yourself and others. Thank you for sharing. Matter fact you can also ask for an advise action on your background check.
