Hey Joshua, These are all really great questions! It looks like from the job description that upon receiving the job you would have to join the Guard and go through basic training. I believe generally with the national guard you actually get to stay where you are. My uncle is in the Utah National Guard and he has only been deployed once I think, and only a few months. You don't normally get transferred to new locations in the Guard.
