What should i do

My son is 17 and just started a new job and he is still in school and they are having him work during school ours and he has missed alot of school . are they. Allowed to do that.

Legally no! Unless he enters a work program with the school system so that he can get credit for his work hours towards graduation. I suggest you check that out. Most schools have one. Good luck and God bless you and your family

You would have to check with the labor board I, your state to find out the answer to that. Here I. Michigan you would have to give them a permission slip stating that your son .is able to work so many hours due,to the fact that he is still in school.

No. Child labor states no minor is allowed to be scheduled during school hours nor are they allowed to be scheduled past 10 pm and for any hours over 6 are to be given a 30 minute break.
